that's your turbo ;)

Interesting thing about the cam and injectors in relation to more fuelling.

You get more fuel by having the OEM ones stay open for a longer duration, a cam may help a bit but timing of the complete delivery is important to complete combustion.

Uprated injectors deliver fuel faster, so need a shorter duration to deliver the same quantity of fuel- 20% increase in flow is quoted by the people doing the upgrade in the US.

Cost for uprating all 4 injectors is 410 quid (kermatdi.com), couriering your own back and forth not included.

Thats bloody cheap, last quote i had was nearer

That's coz it's done via US. Took 4 months...

Can get them done here in UK for a lot more money but probably quicker I suppose :)

why are they so expensive over here? rip off britain strikes again :thumbdwn:

It has to do with a VERY limited number of places that have the appropriate skills, and it is not easy to get hold of PD injectors at the best of times.

Also the exchange rate makes it MUCH more attractive at the moment, even when paying import duties.

For example Jason's Peloquin would have probably cost him at least 1.5 times as much if purchased in the UK ;)

becasue our workers get more money and its very uncommon so requires secial tooling and skills :)

maybe we could have a briskoda group buy on injectors :rubchin:

Skodaru?

Skodaru?

Russian? No, it

Uprated cams increase fuel flow by extending the flow duty cycle right?

Uprated injectors flow 20% more fuel. Wonder what would happen if you combined the two? Bet it's smoky tho'

One of the benefits of the cam is that it also keeps the inlet valve open a little longer so more air has a chance to get into the cylinders so more fuel can be added without the expense of smoke. I've seen the car in a video with the 245bhp and it hardly smokes at all.

Whats your Goft GT TDi130 like? Have you testeda TDi150? Worth the extra or not? Or is it worth going for the Leon 150TDI over the Golf 150GTTDI?

Hmm - might have to have words as I should have a spare engine and thus cam to 'potentially tweak' ;)
