Hi

Had a Carbonio Induction filter on my mk1 vrs, replaced standard airbox and the cone filter was sited in the wheel arch to get plenty of cool air, gave a nice induction roar as well.

I think they are a worthwhile mod but you need as much cold air as poss to benefit. If cone filter was in engine bay then a cold air feed or some kind of shielding is a must.

I bought mine from Awesome GTI @ Warrington ,you can get a discount as member of Briskoda

Hi

Yes we are the official importers for Carbonio and we sell loads and loads of these in a week

They give better throttle response , this is due to more air and it being cooler

The main thing with the Carbonio`s is the sound that you get from them  I love the noise mmmmmmmmmm

They are made from Carbon Fibre too and look divine

If I can help you further please feel free to give me a shout on 0161 7760777 press option 1 too

Sarah is absolutely right (as usual). Carbonio's are all about the sound.

Had mine fitted at Awesome last year and I love it.

It's very hard for me to be objective about whether it makes the car any faster or more responsive because I had a remap done at the same time (one of those evil trial ones that made me *NEED* a permanent one a month later).

It definitely sounds faster and more responsive

Get one, you won't regret it.

Sorry Mike , I know I am bad , people call in to say hello without their wallets now when they come to see me

But I do make them go home and get it ;)

But I do know that the remap , DV and Carbonio is a NEED

The BMC CDA on bengie's Octavia, whilst costly, sounds well nice...

Its up to you I guess but Id stick with the panel filter and spend the rest on juice!

I doubt youd get any more performance but would sound louder.

I have the Carbonio fitted. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, lovely noise.

its how she got me! had all 3 done in 1 go.

carbonio is sweet, not sure on the noise though, the sound i hear is best likened to putting the extension end of a hoover 2 inch from your ear. ssssSSSSSSHHHHHHHH. been told it sounds very nice by mates outside of the car though.

Mmmmmm sorry , I get everyone ;)

But they do sound soooooo sweeeeeet

I think I need to buy an Octy just for the Carbonio...dont worry I have mentioned this

Then it will be my turn , if I ever win the lottery I will buy a vRS just for the Carbonio

Why is it, that all the big BHP Octavia's in this forum are running the ABD racing or Carbonio's etc, or are you now saying that they should all sell them on fleabay and all put a panel filter back on.

No, its their choice. But I fail to see how one can be better than a well setup airbox and panel filter.

If Carlsberg did filtration then Carbonio would be it...:P

Im not saying they can be wrong or they do a good job, brighten up the engine bay and make a nice noise - they do indeed. However Im yet to see evidence that they INCREASE power over a well setup airbox as Ive mentioned earlier. I think its each to their own in this case :)

Lets leave it there chaps.

Hi I recently bought a Carbonio CAI from Awesome GTI and managed to fit the whole thing without taking the alloy wheel off or the arch liner . It sounds fooking fantastic and can hear the dv valve quite loud :D but after reading the last few posts I am now slightly worried i have not fit the filter correctly .

Has anyone else done this or have I done it wrong?

Thanks in advance Scott .

Think I'm going to pop over for one of these this afternoon if they're in stock.
