inspection and oil indication

Featured Replies

on the Ebay people are selling how to reset the oil and inspection indicator on the dash for 99p !! with out any PC.

How is that? I tought you had to have the VAG computer to do this.

what are they selling?

has any one bought one?

You can reset the indicator for free, read the manual or search on here for the correct procedure

correct procedure is easy (got shown by an ex skoda mechanic!!):D

Press in the milometer reset and turn it to the right whils still pressed in. keep it like this and turn the ignition to the pre-start position. after a few seconds you will get 3 lines across the display (---) this has now reset the service indicator....

The only problem with doing it this way is that you tend to have to reset the clock on the dash and you have to be able to hold everything and turn the key at the same time..

It is possible and it does work!!!
