Need a picture of the front pads for a Fabia and whether they are all the same, i.e. does a 1.2 have the same pads as a 1.9 TDi/vRS.

the fabia vrs has a 288mm disk set up on it standard and the 1.2 has a 239mm disk so no the pads will be differnt

Indeed they are different.

The 1.2 thru to the 1.9 PD (100bhp) use the FSIII caliper.

The 2.0 and the vRS use lucas calipers.

I think the lower spec brakes use a pad with a sort of 'hook' shaped lug at the outer edge of the backing plate whereas 288 pads have a small protruding lug halfway up the side edges of the backing plates
