revo or amd ?

Featured Replies

HI All

still researching a remap thinkig of a revo or amd any opinions on which is best please

I want to be a bit sympathetic to my engine and drivetrain.

Thanks Graham

Would think Revo as AMD has been bought out ;)

Big Boys Toys IIRC now has the one-click but not 100% on that :)

Mine's revo'd and it's transformed the car. One thing, I'd factor into the overall cost the price of an uprated clutch fairly soon, the standard one's just not up to the job. My 54 reg vrs is only on 14,000 miles and the clutch slips like a biatch. Sachs paddle clutch being bought later today :)

If you want to be sympathetic to the drivetrain, why not leave it standard?

Naaah,that'd be boring!

Reliable,but boring.

as far as i know amd have been brought out but thel still sell there products i think they have still got a website try googling it

You need to take it to someone that can do a custom remap where the torque is not supplied in 1 big dollop, but rather spread out more over the rev range and the car is made to rev better. That's easier on the drivetrain and engine components too. The AMD one click is too savage from what I've heard, same as many other remaps.

Hmmmmm. AMD did do custom One Click, I would presume they still do from their new site. Why dont you ask them?

I think it's the standard One Click that's a bit mental. I imagine you can get it tweaked if you ask them. :)

Revo.
