Fag lighter / accessory socket

Featured Replies

Having treated myself to a sat nav I found that I have to rely on the internal battery as the fag lighter doesn't work. Does this have a separate fuse (not noticed anything else not working) or is it also susceptible to having the power leads ripped off the back when removing the centre tunnel, say for adjusting the handbrake (not that I know if this is necessary for that job)? Just looking to see if this is an easy fix or whether there may be something wrong with the socket itself.

Check the switch on the drivers door that stops rear doors from opening, this also isolates the fag lighter socket.

I thought this had bust on ours as when I plugged in a tyre inflater last year it didn't work. But it did indeed have a seperate fuse which had blown - they're described in the owner's guide IIRC.
