Turbo not working on 110 Tdi

Featured Replies

Today I was driving to work and put my foot down in 4th to overtake.

At about 3500 rpm the car suddenly jolted and I didn't seem to have any more power.

The car still runs okay but is way down on power. In short I don't think the turbo is working.

The car was fully warmed up and the oil level is okay.

Any ideas please?

Try a Maf before going down the expensive turbo route.

Maybe a friend could lend you one, it would only take 5 mins to swop over.;)

Take it for a short drive with the air mass meter disconnected, if it improves then this will be the problem.

If it went very quickly then the MAF is unlikely to be the cause.

Quite possibly you popped one of the hoses off , so have a good look under the bonnet to see all is as it should be.

It could be that the turbo expired but that would have been a lot noisier
