i have a question.... what engines can be put on a Skoda Octavia? i`ve heard of VW's VR6 but i also heard that the audi 4.2 v8 can also be fitted :eek: ...

Anything that'll fit a Golf IV, so certainly a VR6 (and option to supercharge it). Not so sure about the V8s, cos AIUI the bigger Audis they're normally in still use in-line engines (yes with FWD) rather than the more usual transverse mounting.

I'd also ask why bother with a VR6, cos the lighter 1.8T can be tuned to a reliable 300bhp or so.
