Rain Closing in VagCom

Featured Replies

I tried this out on the MY07 version Octavia II vRS, it can be set up through Maxi-Dot.

This car had a sunroof but I also tried it on a mates one without a sunroof (also MY07) and BOTH worked. Set it on the Maxi Dot, put all windows & sunroof down, locked car, then poured water over the rain sensor, hey presto the windows and sunroof closed.

Mine is an MY06 so wondering if it can be done through VagCom.

Only possible if you have the "big" comfort control modules which supports personalization. Got the part number of yours handy?

No, I'm talking about the comfort control module. There are 2 general variants, one with less functions and one with "more" functions.

The comfort control module part number can be found in a diagnostic protocol...

...VAG-COM would show it like this:

Address 46: Central Conv.

Controller: 1K0 959 433 AT

Component: KSG PQ35 G2 010 0101

Coding: 13100F880106281B0906050FA0080F0490A540

Ah okay, I'll have to check that when Bpm is back :) as he's the one with the hardware.

Feck it...THANKS BTW

Is it possible to purchase the comfort control module with "more" functions ?

I would think so Ray - at a price!!!

Money's no object that's why we decided to have kids !

Is it just like a relay that gets put in an engine bay socket ?

any ideas on pricing?

Just looked - £170 for the one Gaff posted.

No its an ECU that goes behind the glovebox.

Ouch.....I'll just have to learn to make sure the sunroof is fully closed if it rains :)

Whatever about being in the 2nd year of production but its a bit disappointing the number of standard features that became available within a few months of the first ones going on sale. MP3 Jack plug, being able to change your own setting via Maxi Dot etc etc.
