changing the body of my 01(y) 1.9 tdi elegance into a vrs

Featured Replies

i have been looking into getting all the bits needed to change my car into a vrs boddied fabia. can anyone give me a list of what i would need and how much it would cost(roughly). thanks james.

I've moved this into the correct forum for you.

The most obvious things you'll need are the bumpers, wheels and the rear spoiler, oh and of course some badges.

You'll also need to consider the ride height as this is different.

Ive got this full kit (front bumper, rear vrs bumper and arch trims) if your interested ;)

And as above yes that is what you need, i am doing so myself, however not the wheels or badges

You need the round foglights for the front, if your TDI doesn't have the facelifted ones. When you fit the back bumper you will find your exhaust is situated a little oddly, so I would advise getting the backbox from a vRS with the tailpipe and having it fitted so it sits right with the bumper. :)

hi. ive done that to my 51plate elegance and it looks great. spent 42quid for 2nd hand back bumper from ebay. 10quid for slightly damaged front bumber from ebay. fog lights for 60quid for pair. front trims bout 33quid from stealer. paintwork and fitting 325quid. all in all bout 475quid.

was it worth it.

ofcourse it was.

cheaper than buying a real one.

currently waiting for vrs's to come down to 4k(may be waiting a while)

good luck
