I'm having a little problem with receiving radio signal as the ISO adaptor doesn;t seem to be feeding signal through to the player, but essentially it looks the daddy, and more importantly plays MP3s so I don't need to get a CD changer now. :D

Oh, and yes, I do need to get the Fabia fascia from the previous HU and fit it to fill that ugly gap at the top of it.

A special mention of thanks to the rabble in #briskoda. They're the ones that pointed me in the direction of my old H.U which had a signal amplifier attached. After a small amount of fiddling, and trying to work out which cable to attach to the amp's one, (it was the red one.. = power, DOH!) and now I have a blisteringly clear signal on FM.

(next time to test the MP3...)

its actually suppost to be the blue one with the white stripe..... ;)

Colin - tell me you're joking, please... There was no blue one with white stripe... :D (guess who's got me worried about burning my car to the ground now...)

Tiz ok... just means it will be on all the time...

the blue wire is the "accessory remote" wire. its only on when the head unit is on. used to control external amplifiers and electric ariels so they dont drain the battery when not being used.

Very bling Jason, all thats missing is the obligatory burberry baseball cap and a set of Halfords spinner wheel trims @

Nope - but Paul was discussing this with me a while back when I visited him with the new furby, so he'll know what I'm talking about. I'm just using someone local to rustle it up for me. :D
