Ive gone and done it.

Been looking at a TDi fabia or octy for the last couple of weeks. Sold the current car at the weekend so had some money to spend on a used Skoda.

Sure you could have got it a lot cheaper private, but not with that mileage, if the cars in good nick and like you say you will have peace of mind with a warrenty so just enjoy it

That's good mileage for an 04, mine is 54 and has 43,500 on the clock.

Like postmanpat said, you would have got it cheaper private.

You will certainly enjoy the car, I love driving it every day, still puting a smile on my face now.

Thanks for the re-assureance, I kind of know its a good (enough) deal from a main dealer and of course you pay the premium for the warrenty and vehicle checks.

Its a cracking little car, I just hope the one ive got my name on is as good as the sales man says it is.

So far I cant fault the way the sales process has been with Bickertons and I know other people that have bought from them/use them and they all have very good things to say.

Only down side is ive got to wait for 4 - 6 weeks for it. I cant wait that long.

Actually I was thinking about it last night, I gave it a bit of stick on the test drive and I thought the back end was a bit twitchy (mainly after letting off the gas). Anyone else found they have any similar problems?

And me....04 plate with 29k on the clock. As soon as I sat in it I wanted it......then we took it for a spin and this huge grin appeared on my face. Powerful, smooth, comfy. I put a deposit on it that day and collected the following week after they'd put it's 1st MOT and 6 months tax on it. I still love it despite it visiting the dealers quite a bit for silly little warranty claims.

Might have been tyre pressures.

I assumed, mistakenly, they'd have checked them before they released it.

Experienced serious wheel tramp and traction control light on one or two, admittedly uphill and greasy and lots of welly, sections.

When I checked the pressures they were all over the place.

Get it first, then see about Jabba etc.
