More like a new Mass Airflow Meter They go at about 40k

You would have noticed your power hitting a wall at about 3000 RPM.

The garage would have picked this up on a diagnostic.

Check what they did if your curious.

Air filters are only changed at 40k.. and at 40k i was loosing 10MPG before I changed it myself.

It transforms a car.

Think about it if the engine can't breather properly it will inject less fuel to cope with the lower amount of air getting in.

I was getting all the same characteristics with a failed MAF.

- Low MPG 38 - 40 on open road

- Power drop off at 3000 rpm
