Have you knocked off the the vacuum hose that connects to the airbox or left any part of the box not sealed corrects?

I've never notice this going from a dirty filter to a clean OEM one so I would guess the converse. I assume the green filter wasn't dripping in oil when you did it?

Does anyone know if when looking at the box where the air filter goes you should be able to see the pink/orange edge of the paper air filter on the left as you look into the engine bay.

I have never noticed this before and the car has just been serviced and i can see this pink/orange band on the left side of the box

Is this normal???? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Matt

no its not normal remove this.

The airfilter sits flush inside, this will be why it doesnt feel as quick

so you should not be able to see any part of the air filter on the left hand side of the air box. not even the rubber edge to the air filter.

Thanks

Haulix. The filter's orange foam on the outside, basically works as a sealer. So whether you can see it or not, aslong as it looks squashed, it's sealed.

Check the MAF isn't knocked out of place. (Or the filter isn't over oiled)
