Rallye sunseeker 2003 Bournmoth 22/2/03 Photos

Featured Replies

Bumped into Jon trying to take the Superb demonstator away for his new rally car at the Sunseeker rally today in Bournemouth.

Didn't see the Fabia taking part but did take some photos of the fabia that won last year I believe. There was a Favort still running in on one of the last stages photo's below.

It was a good day especially as Jon pointed me in the direction of a scale model stall selling a Monte Carlo 2002 Octavia WRC - nice car (

Great pics , thanx for sharing them! Do you know what engine spec the Fabia you pictured is running?

PS the something from Halfords is a Diahatsu cuore turbo 4x4 (around 700cc 3 cyl twincam 12v turbo i beleive!!), probably left over from the one make rally challenge they ran a few years back.

Duncan,

I think the dealer at the rally said it was pretty much a standard 1.4 16v. You know our rally cars the Diahatsu (not a daewoo then  ) seemed to be buzzing along quite well, that sounds like an interesting engine. The car was running just ahead of the Favorit.
