Fabia VRS

on the odd occasion just after start up I get 3 warning beeps from the car there are no lights on the dash and there is no obvious running problems. Its the same noise that you get when your washers run out. I have checked the hand book but it dosnt help.

What is it??

Ah yes - GPW is from Aberdeen! Could this be the low temperature (<4 degrees) warning? I don't recall how many beeps that gives.

Normally gives 3.

3 beeps and 4 degrees flashes on the MFA

The temp idea is a good one but it dosnt do it every morning and I have been having to scrape ice from the windows every morning this week.:confused:

and when driving and the temp drops I only get 1 beep and the 4oC flashing on the clock thingy

-1oC by night:eek: 16-20oC during the day:cool:

If it's already below 4oC when your driving the car, It won't happen I don't think. You have to be in the car when it's above, then once it drops, the beep's will happen.

Did anyone ever find out what causes this? I have no fault codes, No lights on the dash and its 14c degrees so its not the low temperature warning. Does it with my handbrake off as well so its not the low brake fluid warning beep(light doesnt appear). Anyone?

My Fabia VRS has done it a couple of times just recently.

Is not the usual low temperature, fuel level or washer fluid.

I was having 3 beeps when starting up a few months ago and it was because my engine coolant was low but it did show a light on the dash that flashes. :confused:

is one of your lights out. just do a general check of your car levels ect ect. it maybe 1 of them but the bulb in the dash may not b working??

Could it be do do with the glow plugs warming. ie when it stops beeping they are hot enough for starting. My dads Octavia's have both done this.

traded the car with offending beeping problem for a SE:D New one dosnt do it. Problem solved:rofl:

I think you'll find its a 'fault warning' for the abs system. Mine has done this on and off since new, and its been serviced/checked with no problems. Just a gremlin.
