Fab vRS ASR button

It might do, I'm but then I dont drive it at the limit to that extent I think. Can always turn it off though :D

The Jabba rear ARB allows for lift-off oversteer even with ESP on, within 'reason'. The best thing about ESP though seems to be that it doesn't interfere in as much of an annoying way as ASR, I drove both as test drives and decided on ESP as it allows you to drive off at reasonable pace without it cutting the power as badly.

Mine requires discipline in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, in the wet 3rd means < 3k rpm if booting it or I get wheelspin. With the kind of power I'm running it's essential to know your own limits + the car's limits. My driving could be improved for sure :)

Could be down to my driving technique that I dont have hassle with ASR. I tend to use the throttle to probe / guage grip in corners at all speeds. When the front end is loaded up in a wet corner, it is easy enough to get a loss of traction in 4th or even 5th that allows you to judge how much grip there is left. I just press on to the point where it becomes apparent that the revs are starting to rise beyond the traction level and use that the keep the car close to the limit. It has the advantage for road driving that I dont need to enter the corner at 100% to make reasonable pace.

I wonder if ESP would see this as understeer and start applying the rear inside brake to try and prevent it? Call me a luddite, I just dont trust these systems. I should try one out really.

Chris

I'm gonna be away for a few weeks but might be able to meet up at some point, depending on how far you are away from where I live :D
