Aviente 1.4 or Sport 1.2 ???? Help - New Visitor

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, this is my first visit and need some feedback if possible. I have looked at a 1.4 Fabia hatchback 2005 and a 1.2 Sport hatchback. Getting pressure from others to make up my mind quick! I like the brakes on the sport as opposed to the Ambiente, apparently they are different, one is disk and one drums. Don't need a fast car but want one that keeps its price relatively and need to accommodate my elderly father in it now and again. What opinions do you have? I have got such a fine headache., and just to help, I am no youngie and over 50, so that can give you some idea as to whether I need the tag of the Sport! Hope everyone is well. Thanks

I would strongly recommend , that you choose the one you felt most comfortable driving, regardless of the spec / badging. As long as it is within your price range.

I am sure that Insurance is not an issue :D

Oh God, it should have read Ambient or Sport........... I did say I was over 50! Must get a check up soon I think, or even an overhaul!

Can't offer any advice as im an octy man, just wanted to give you a welcome to the world of Briskoda.

Welcome.

If you do a search on here there are some issues with I think the 8v version of the 1.4 engine. I'd have a read up on each engine and then as advised above make a decision based on what you can afford and like most.

I would certainly consider the tax bands for the 1.2 and 1.4 engines though as one may be higher than the other.

Welcome :)
