How do you remove rear skoda badge??

Featured Replies

Hi all, finally got me ltd:D. The best car i have ever purchased and every time i put my right foot down the biggest smile occurs on my face:thumbup:. I have removed the fabia badge and originally going to cover the rear skoda badge with a silver milotec one but it does not fit properly. Any one know how to remove it? Is it screwed on some how? Also on the dash by the fuse box there is a lever saying on that you can pull, what is it?

Thanks for your time all

Lever by the fuse box should be for the bonnet I reckon?

Skoda badge can be removed by using some strong fishing line and getting it behind the badge to "saw" through the glue. Bear in mind there will be two holes left in the bootlid, which you could fill and respray the bootlid like I did. Others have used the vRS badge to cover them up.

Cheers for that, will give it a go. The lever by the fuse box says "ON" on it and you can push it down or pull it up..the bonnet one is down by the door i think.

The lever is to divert air from the ventilation system into the flip down box. If you have the AC on you can cool a can of drink in there.

Think thats the on off for the drinks cooler. You can keep a can of pop etc in the little compartment.'On 'directs cold air to it

Easy,

Leave it parked in the road overnight & let some scrote do it for you, scratching the paint in the process!

Why?????

Sorry - happened to me a while ago & still annoyed about it

I used a hair drier to warm the badge up and peeled it away. That way the double sided sticky stuff stayed on the badge and not on the car. Then gave the area a bit of a clean just in case before putting a MK II vRS badge on to cover the holes:thumbup: .

On my octy i got a chisel and used my finger as a lever point also dribbled a bit of tar remover down the back to soften the glue

It hurt my finger but didnt scratch the paint then i used clay bar to remove the cragg where the old badge had been

Take your time it will lever off

I remember when removal of car badges was called vandalism.

Nowadays it's called "modding".

I think they got it right first time.
