Another cheap 'mapping' company

Featured Replies

im gonna see them tomorrow to have a look and find out more.

Theres loads about.

All I will say is you get what you pay for, yes the car will be quicker but not neccesarily as quick or as smooth as one of the more reputable companies.

Its a bit like after market Alloys, some companies do what appear incredibly cheap sets but they save money by fitting budget tyres to them, they look the same but just dont work as well

I emailed the company to see what they could offer...this is what he said 240bhp seems a bit much to me....

Hi Rhys

Thanks for your mail, great car to map. Is the car standard at present? if it is we can map to around 220 bhp for

Jabba load & go is £375 all in, not a lot more for a known product, if the 349 is + vat then thats £410, more than Jabba. For 475 at Jabba you can get a custom map which IMO is the way to go

Again, this can be dependant on where you live. I'm close to Impossible Performance, but after there 'constant' service.. I wouldn't go elsewhere, We all have our favourites, but at the moment Impossible have a group buy for Remaps.

Agreed location helps although I travel from Winchester to Jabba, its all down to a good firm with a good reputation & someone you feel happy with

Re Imposible Performance, they are certainly on my list of good reputable companies

Its a shame as i live in middlesbrough and theres no one up here really....:(

Pah! That's no excuse... Think about the journey home!

Based in Watford with an `023 80` telephone number?

Don't think so, that's a Southampton area code!

Also that B'mouth branch seems to have stickers detailing it on plenty of the `Westover Circuit` buckets. Not a place I would trust with my car, but then I have never tried them.

anyway that's not that cheap.

jabba generic map is 375 inc vat. and there are even cheaper trustworthy companies on the market like chipboost and chippeduk.

the first one is available through ebay for 250 and through their own web page for a bit more due to vat.

the only problem is that they are based in north yorkshire .

the second one is doing the custom remap with rolling road before and after for 275 + vodka and tonic. guys from uk-mkivs forum are quite happy with their remapps for golf mk4 gti. they are in bromsgrove.

i am just about to remapp my octy as well and i am thinking of those two tuners or maybe jabba generic one.

what would you guys go for? :)

Ive always used Jabba & more than happy with the results but I guess that makes me biased
