Anyone got time to do me a quick test? :D

Featured Replies

Ok chaps, in the quest to find out if my clutch should be that clunky on changing gear, could someone possibly pop out into their car and do a quick test for me?

It's very simply and doesn't involve any driving... :D

Start it up, leave it idling in neutral, press the clutch to the floor and then let go of the pedal pretty quickly.

When you lift off the clutch pedal, does it make a slight clunk as it makes contact?

If so then fine, I'm making a fuss over nothing, apart from the fact mine makes that noise too only louder when driving and changing gear. If not then mine is not right and it's going in to be looked at under warranty.

I'm not sure if it's something that's always been there and I'm only just noticing it or if it's developed over time and gradually getting worse.

Thanks,

Chris.

My foot slipped off the cluth pedal once during a gear change. Made a fooking loud bang when it returned to the normal position...i thought i broke summat :(

i tested it when i got home with the engine off and realised it was just where it pings back soo quickly

cant say ive noticed it when driving though

Yea i was going to question, is it a clunk or a bang? :P
