VAgcom faults 17524 and 17511

Featured Replies

Today, the engine management light decided to appear on the car and the following codes appeared. Since they're lambda sensor related, I reckon somethings been not quite right since the recent changes to the car (a milltek from turbo back was put on the car)

Question is... what do I look for on the car to check if its actually dead or any VAGCOM procedures to test the sensor?

thanks Stu. Looks like I'm climbing under the car for a closer look

Certainly looks that way mate, probably armed with a new sensor I think.

bpm > Have you fixed the problem? I'm getting engine light also and this fault code :

16519 P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit - Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Must be about the same thing?

The car is due into the dealers in Tuesday morning for a new lambda heater unit thingy. Will update as soon as its done.

Update on these codes. Heating element of the lambda sensor system had failed. I was lucky that I had got a Milltek recently as it was an easy job to replace (according to the dealer). All codes have not been cleared and have not returned. Fuel consumption is back up again (yay!)

Thanks for the update. :) I have moved this thread to our Diagnostics & VAG-COM forum for future reference.
