hi all need some help, have a o2 vrs its only done 2100 miles but in the last week or so it is a pain to start when warm . i mean switch it off for a little wile then try and start it it seems to be flooded it take a bit of time to start theres no lights on the dash well not yet please help :(

I would guess at a problematic engine coolant temperature sensor. The black ones have superceded to a green one, they are in the region of £25 to £30.

thanks for your answer ,:( because once it is started its ok are they hard to fit myself or have i got to take to a garage and get ripped off

very simple to fit. it's held in with a clip and sealed with an o-ring (get a new o-ring at the same time, old one would probably be ok, but they are only pence.

Slide the clip out, retreive the o-ring from the housing - push in the replacement and replace the clip

Hardest thing is figuring out how to release the retaining clip on the connector lol.

where abouts on the engine is the coolant temperature sensor please help:confused:

It is on the passenger side, located in a plastic housing adjacent to the cylinder head. You may have to remove the engine cover to get better access.

remove both the main cover and the smaller one that runs round the front and side of the head - the sensor is actually under the side section of the smaller cover.
