Just got my '04 1.9 TDI 110BHP Octy Mot'd and there was an advisory saying that the "rear of the front wishbone bushes were worn".

Now being the tight wad that I am I don't want to be ripped of at the dealers and have them say that they need to change the whole wishbone, they've already quoted me

no, unlikely. By your initial description it will be the front wishbone rear bush which fits vertically, and is made of plasticine even when new :( . the one in the ad is a front wishbone front bush.

I'd strongly suggest fitting powerflex poly bushes though instead of the original sh!t...
