Vrs towbar?

Featured Replies

Hi all, any one know if you can fit a tow bar to a fabia vrs-the dealer said no to skoda own make, but what about a after market one? will fitting one affect warranty? Cheers

The vRS has not been authorised to tow, these means your not insured if you were to tow anything.

However, you can fit a standard skoda towbar, but you will need to cut the bumper although it will not be visable.

I'm getting one fitted so I can use a towbar bike rack, for that the insurance is not a problem.

As for warrenty, it will depend on the dealer. The first dealer I went to said yes, and would not fit one. Another said no problem and is fitting it for me.

At first they said it would not fit, but I explained why everyone thought and they looked into it and said it would be fine.

This has been covered a few times on here - well worth doing a search for more info.

Use something like "type approval tow" for your search criteria in the Fabia section and you will get a good few reults

The search will reveal many a discussion on this subject including pictures of installations.

It's not hard to fit one yourself, honest !
