Maplin have an in car/hand held GPS by AYTOBE for 99.99. Not much info on the web about it.

Has anybody bought one ????

How does it compare to others???

Is it any good when used in Ireland.

Call me old fashioned (waits for responses.........................), but I still rely on maps and common sense :):)

I've never got lost in my life for more than a few minutes :eek::eek:

Last time I used a navigation system was in 1994 - that was a Decca Navigator in our lifeboat, and it was as reliable as French car electrics:(:(

I use my cheap medion that I got off fleabay all the time and its spot on, and even works as a PDA too! :D

Although, when I say I use it all the time, I dont. lol, as I never do long journeys or ones where I dont know the way already :rofl: Nice gadget to have though for the odd long journey or detour via the scenic route :thumbup:

For this budget, I'd rather have the Garmin i3. Never heard of the company you mention.

But as you're Eire based, I've no idea how coverage is with any satnav system :o

I use my M3100 all the time with Tom Tom, just for the speed camera locations.
