Pahh...

but did either of you set the airbags off

My airbags didnt go off either! Also a little worrying i suppose, i had a little knock in my 106 GTi and they came out straight away, a big smash in the Fabia and nothing! umm... maybe they should be a little more sensitive?

Devonutopia and Harry_vRS, you certainly did a very good job on your cars!

Im thinking of buying my vRS back from the insurers if they right it off, but i'll know for sure soon what the situation is.

I reckon they only fit airbags to half of their cars - who's going to know eh? If you need them you ain't going to be around to complain!!

Seriously though, glad to hear your ok. Don't accept the first insurance offer.

Pleased to know you're okay. Best of luck.

Bit worrying they didn't come on in a full frontal as mine did and a side + pre-tensioner.

I guess that a minimum deceleration force is required and as such this wasn't met for your car as the fiesta crumpled that well.

If you are ok and they didn't go off, I'd be glad as they give off a smell that you will never forget, that doesn't go away and they can make your ears ring for ages afterwards.

All in all pretty unpleasant.

Harry, I wouldn't expect them to go off when you roll, even when you do it as impressively as that. :)

Glad ur ok dude :) was she ok? im supprised you would want to drive the car after its had all that done to it? will it be a cat D after all that work?

well as long as the work is done properly it should be as good, the paintwork if not better than before, so im ok with her being fixed. No she wont be a category D because she has not been written off, no major workings are damaged. Believe me i wont be accepting her back until i have had her checked out by an independant person, and the body work is the same as before.
