Rockingham BTCC

I had a cracking weekend at Rockingham for rounds 4, 5 and 6 of the British Touring Car Championship. While the standard ticket doesn't get you into the posh tents (they all say "For the guests of XYZ Sponsor only" :( ) where they serve real food on proper plates, they do get you into the paddock. You can wander around, peer through the open doors of the pit garages and the team trailers. You can also go up on to the roof of the pit building and look down as the cars are prepared and sent out!

If you've seen the ITV3 coverage, the interview with Plato at the end, well I'm just out of shot up on the roof standing above them The guy who heckles Louise Goodman during her readout of the final results was standing right next to me too

There was some really good action and no shortage of different places to sit, from most of which you could see the whole track! The only place with a limited view was the pit roof, because it was lower than the grandstand, but you could see more of the pit area from there anyway. I just moved around between each race and picked a different spot for each one.
