According to the Talex site, the full Talex has the following in addition:

* School Positions

* Congestion Charging Zone Alert

* SOS Positioning

* Compass Bearing

* Maximum Journey Speed

* Average Journey Speed

* Trip Meter

The cheapest place I could find was

But, I think other places (as you mentioned Tesco etc) are cheaper now.

Just updated ours today (full Talex) - 6 months gone so soon - at the moment they have a 3 month extra free offer on the update.

Perhaps check them out - guy is really friendly, knows his stuff (runs a garage - knows about chipping Fabby vRS etc), offered us a better deal.

Only cost you a phone call.

BTW Talex site seem to be really on the ball - I questioned them (email) about one or two 'discrepancies' on the Talex and they were straight back onto me and really knew their stuff e.g. those are only Watchman cameras - i.e. do not meet Home Office Approval - so cannot do you
