Can anyone out there give me the info needed

Starting to leave little pools of oil wherever i park :(

All i need is a picture of the engine bay where the oil pressure switch is - i can do the work myself (been doing it for the last 15 or so years with the bangers I've had:rofl: )

Don't know about the SDI - but I stumbled across it by accident on my wife's MPI - it was sticking out the side of the block, at the front, held in by a massive nut (good 20mm, I'd say). I point this out, as most other sensors are just held in by circlips, however the oil pressure sensor has to be held in by something more substantial for obvious reasons... If you find something matching that description, and you find oil weeping from it, you've probably got your candidate!

(PS: I realise it's not the answer you're looking for, but hope it helps all the same.)

(PPS: On the assumption that the block of a TDI and SDI are the same, I had a look through some old pictures I took of my vRS's engine bay, but there's so much going on in there, I can't see anything apart from the bits immediately on top - sorry!)

It is said!, that the oil pressure switch is mounted on the RHS of the oil filter housing. You'll need a sealing washer as well tightening torque should be 20Nm (15lbf-ft). Workshop manuals on ebay, if you're lucky it will be a copy of a back-up CD/DVD issued to the dealer - that's okay if not totally legal, if you are very unlucky you will end up with an Autodata servicing/repair cd covering all european cars - getting that is a bit annoying - but very useful for helping other people out!! I got a Fabia manual from my local motor factor, then when the Polo one came out I got it via an ebay link suggested by someone on this forum, for about
