Exhaust helps heat soak??

Featured Replies

Now i dont know if its me or not but today has been rather warm (in Sheffield anyway) and i have been taking advantage of the weather and my car didnt seam to suffer as bad as it normally does in the warm weather.

Having just had a full Milltek fitted as i imagining it or does a full system help with heat soak?

Ive no clue but WTF, get that remap done at once!!

It's probably coz you now have more power and torque you havn't noticed it as much. You need a FMIC to reduce heat soak.

Hope the mrs doesn't notice the FMIC when you fit it!

i dont know depends if i can get black one rather than a silver one :D oh and a good

probalby because the stainless steel retains more of the heat than mild steel

Good to know as i know that stainless systems do get hotter than mild ones but i couldnt believe the heat that it was kicking out

Perhaps also the sports cat is allowing the gasses to escape quicker thus heating up the exhaust more?

i should think it's more to do with the thickness of the tubing used
