Fitting MP3 lead

Featured Replies

You can find instructions on how to remove the radio here - Octavia-vRS.com - MFD2 Install Guide

I'm not familier with that device, although I have had a connects unit before, I think you'll lose the CD changer if you have one.

The website reckons the Stream is a Bosch, I thought it was made by Visteon

Either way I had a unit like that before I fitted my MFD2 and it spoofs the Stream into thinking it's looking at an auto changer.

Cheers, I have an option on the stream stereo that says aux in, so i was hoping it be a simple case of plugging in a lead and bingo it then has a mp3 lead as well as multi disc changer (basically a jumbo kit without the box).

Any other ideas to adding a mp3 connection without losing the multi disc player?

If you have the stream MP3 you could use the pinouts, either on the page I gave you the link to or on the back of your radio, to make one yourself. You can buy the part that would normally have been in the jumbo box and mount that elsewhere.
