Came across this on youtube, but the dash doesn't look like the mk1 Octavia's I know of. It's obviously not in this country, not sure where though. Looks a bit like a Felicia dash?

I don't think so, I've been in pre-facelift Octavia's and they have pretty much the same dash as the post facelifted ones. :confused:

and i think the pre-face lift is very very similar to a post-face lift just different colouring really.

That is a mk1 dash in a very early octavia. The dash is pre-european launch, when the octavia was launched in the uk the dash was redesigned to meet european tastes.

When I was in the Czech republic on a business trip, you wouldn't believe the amount of warning lights on in the taxi's! It was funny, lit up like Christmas trees - I don't think they care.

You see all sorts of different versions of Skodas out there as well, so doesn't surprise me the dash board is different!

I saw one of these in a German registered Octavia a good few years ago , in Berwick. Like others have said that is the original Octavia dash , I think they had them in LHD around '96 or '97 in certain markets (maybe just CZ?) The dash was totally redesigned before the car was released here , as it was found (possible by customer clinics of UK car buyers?) that the dasboard was really disliked. And yes , it did remind me at the time of the Felicia!
