Trip Miles display default

Featured Replies

I've just swapped my Fabia vRS for an Octavia vRS - for reasons of practicality - an am extremely happy all round!

However. There's one tiny niggle that's really bugging me with the driver info display. With the ignition off, the display shows total miles travelled (ie a normal mileometer). When the ignition is switched on the display changes to the trip miles. I know I can change back to total miles by pressing the trip reset button, but does anyone know if you can change the default to stay on total miles travelled rather than trip? I've read the manual (shock, horror) and searched these hallowed pages, but to no avail.

I know this is an insignificant gnat of a problem, but I'd be dead chuffed if anyone can help! Show's what a great all-round motor it is if that's all I can find that I don't like!!!

Thanks in advance.

Think i know what your talking about. My vrs has two digital displays one that stays on total mileage covered in its life and the other does the two trips.

number, 1-setting is for the trip covered since engine has been turned on.

number 2-setting for the whole trip covered since last reset.
