Hi all, had a recent fault with a BKD 2.0 16 valve Octy 2, fault codes 00665 boost pressure circuit bellow lower limit and 00258 Mass air flow sensor implausible signal. Traced the fault to a split boost pipe what i cant understand is why would this boost fault cause a air mass meter fault to be registered.

The other fault may have been there for a while, unless you check the codes frequently.

It'll be interesting if both faults go away when you fix the pipe.

Was it the lower boost pipe on the n/s onto the intercooler?

Gertting a lot of these rubbing out and splitting.

Yes that was the one Ross replaced the split hose and all is ok now puzzled to why it throgh up a Mass air flow fault code as well.

Could just be a spurious one. Was it MAF or MAP? Dunno about on yours but on the PD130 Fabia's the MAP is just above the intercooler sort of behind the headlight.
