AMD one click? REVO?

Featured Replies

Is there a way of temporarily remapping my 2.0 TDi to be reset when servicing comes round?

I have spoken to REVO and they say that their software would remain in the ECU, therefore showing up when i return to the dealer for service?

I really want to do this but don't want to lose dealer support.

Can someone suggest an undetectable way of remaping to vrs standard?

Please don't suggest buying a VRS because i prefer my L&K- each to their own.

Digital Tuning Box?

Have a look at Dragon Manufacturer list (but turn your sound down first if you are at work!)

Just had a long chat with Dragon about their boxes and they seem quite a knowledgeable bunch.

They also have a product for the vRS TDi, but I'm not totally convinced that they have taken account of the issues with the DPF. They say that they have a lot of happy vRS TDi customers, but I've yet to find one I could actually talk to.

If you've got anything other than a vRS, then I reckon this would be a good option.

Bagpuss.

If a remap can be produced which doesn't produce anymore soot than normal then the DPF wouldn't be an issue.

However.....as diesel remaps in general generate more soot there a high likleyhood of the DPF becoming clogged which may be lead to turbo and engine failure.

If you have a switchable map then it is highly unlikely that a dealer would find any trace of remap during services.

The biggest indicator is performance, switch this back to stock and they'll not really have any reason to look for anything.

A technician is paid on the work he does, the more he does the better his pay, he isn't really bothered about snooping around to see if you have a remap.
