Had the octy on the ramp yesterday and found this

Its the gearbox end of the driveshaft, It's been cable tied for now as it lost abit of grease, How important is it. Do i need a new one

They aren't normally fixed so they can slide up and down the shaft and a little grease flacked out is quite normal.

We just cleaned it up and cable tied it should i cut the cable tie

See how it goes, it shouldnt damage it and will probably fall off anyhow, tried it a few times myself...lol

The previous owner has secured the ones on my car with the metal strap ties. Very odd they arent fitted as standard.
