North Lincs/South Yorks Independent Specialist

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking for an North Lincolnshire/South Yorkshire based independent skoda specialist. My brother just had his car serviced at the Grimsby dealership and is fairly appauled at the service.

Can anyone recommend a decent Skoda independent garage?

Thanks

Chris

I can't recommend anyone, but I could have told your brother to avoid Barkers at all costs. They exemplify everything that is wrong with some of the new breed of Skoda dealers. I used to have a Citroen that I had serviced one time at Barkers Grimsby (multi-franchise dealer), the car felt worse after the service. They are a disgrace.

If he wants a better dealer service try Hasleden in Donny.

From the reports he gave me they're not to be trusted. Thanks for the tip. Anyone got any other good dealers or independents in the area?

Thanks

Chris

Not sure how far you travelled to get to Grimsby or how far you are willing to travel but Denis Horton dealership in Lincoln has not produced any complaints from me. Call ahead and they will give you a lift into the city centre. Very accommodating people, I can not always get home from working in Nottingham in time to pick my car up so the let me keep the courtesy car over night till I can pick mine up the next morning. Other dealerships (not Skoda) in the past have point blank refused this request telling me they are a garage not a car rental service.

Hayselden Skoda in Doncaster is likely closer if you are looking South Yorks. but I haven't experienced their service and for time wasting I would rather spend time in Lincoln than Doncaster.

There is a company called deuchmark in Doncaster, I used them when the steering rack **** itself on our lasses fabia. Reasonable rates, and the lads used to work for vw/skoda
