Mudflaps again!!

Featured Replies

Just after some info I found when doing a search, I was looking into fitting Mudflaps front and back to stop stone chips etc on the fab. I would fit standard fab ones but don't like the idea that I have to cut the bumper:thumbdwn:. A post claimed that Golf mark 4 mudflaps fit without and mods or alterations just wondering if any one can confirm this........ If they fit I think that will be the next little mod....:)

Any info would be great...........

Didn't search hard enough :)

I've seen these on Ebay but don't know if there abit OTT, I'm just after some nice black mudflaps to stop all the crap from going up the side of the car..........

If you cut the bumper carefully, no one would notice the modification if you took the mudflaps off. (the un-initiated of course!)

I was a little unsure about taking a stanley knife to my 6 week old car, however, you only trim a 3 mm sliver off the bumper.

The standard mudflaps are really cheap from the dealers - go for it!

You can even do this modification without removing the rear wheels, the second one I fitted only took one steady swoop with a stanley.

I have these fitted on my car if you want pics let me know. easy to fit and good quality.

They do stop stone chips up the side of the car and also stop crud going up the side too. They make it easier when washing the car.

The back on the car still gets mucky though.

The good thing is you can easily take them off and the car is back to standard and no one will ever notice. May do this for the summer

I vote for the RallyFlapz - I've a set on my Octy vRS and they really do the job, plus with red flaps on a red car they are nicely colour coded. You would be best to get black (or red) for your silver Furby.
