Furby vRS Cupholders (again!)

Featured Replies

I want to retro-fit the dash-mounted cupholder. I've read the threads about how easy it is to fit. Unfortunately my car has heated seats so removing the switch to reveal the upper Torx screw isn't as easy as popping out the blank. Does anyone have access to a workshop manual and could look up how to remove the heated seat switch? The outer trim piece comes off easily, but the guts of the switch (including delicate tiny curcuit boards etc) seems firmly fixed in place. I don't want to break anything! Cheers.

I don't know if that switch is like the other switches (ASR, rear demister), but those come out with a little persuasion. They're pretty solid blocks and they have metal flaps that stick out a little to hold them in place. If you get round the back after removing an adjacent blank, you should be able to pop it through, and once it's sticking out the front, disconnect the wire.

However, you'll find there are probably notches at the top and botton in random places which correspond to cutouts in the dash, meaning you can't (easily) move a switch from one hole to another, although I guess you won't be doing that.

Usual disclaimers apply ;)
