I ordered a new Octy vRS TDi last week. The dealer quoted approx 10 weeks wait! Anyone else recently ordered a new octy and how long is your wait? Are the times generally longer or shorted than the quote?

And lastly now that I've spent about a month reading about the Octy 2 vRS diesel here, is there anywhere else anyone can recommend?

Bout 10 weeks is normal for a factory order. It's the optional extras which do it.

Was qouted 4 weeks for my car although I was prepared to be flexible on specification.

I think 8 to 12 weeks is normal if it's a factory order.

12-16 weeks for my 2.0 fsi L&K hatch. I wonder whether the wait is longer for the L&K due to it's higher spec. I imagine they build a number of Classics one week, then Ambientes, etc, etc.

would make sense from an economies of scale point of view I guess

waiting is sooo difficult, between this and the due date for my little one I can't take much more! lol!

it'll be worth the wait though...

2 weeks for my 2.0TDI DSG L&K, the new model too. But the delaer did say the 2.0FSI petrol was outsold something like 10-1 so maybe they make even fewer of them, let alone the L&K!

I could have had one immediately, but would have had the car that was in stock. I was concerned that it might be the old spec, so declined. This way I get to choose my colours.

I might have opted for the 2.0 tdi, but had to keep my wife happy with the budget!

Due to pick up my 2.0 TDi L&K DSG Estate on Saturday. Exactly 9 weeks from order. Dealer quoted me approx 8 weeks. Only option was a TPM.

I ordered a vRS TDI last week and have heard squat since then.

Methinks a phone call to the dealer is in order.

First I was quoted 12 weeks - they got this down to four, as they managed to swap one they had with one already in production. This will depend on choosing a "popular" model, colour etc.

I took delivery of my vRS TDI with a host of specific options on 30th March - exactly eight weeks (to the day) from placing my order.

There are probably a few more orders going through the system at this time of year so 10 weeks sounds fair. Don't worry it will be worth the wait.

Shouldn't be an issue - the dealer charged me the new price for the L&K and I made sure he was ordering the new one. Had the old one turned up then that's his problem, not mine. I did have the same concern at first I must admit but after being to the dealer, no worries.

ive been quoted 8-10 weeks. Ordered 3 weeks ago. feels like 10 already!!!

Ordered 1 Feb and collected on 20 April. 10 ish weeks I think, delayed by Easter etc

Ordered mine on 21st March, was told 8-9 weeks. No ETA yet but next week is week 9 so I'm being hopefull.

Well just had the phone call! I can collect it next Wednesday!
