Candy White Or Dynamic Blue

Featured Replies

I was hoping have a car with metallic but my funds might not go that far because I want ESP fitted ( for saftey) and fog lights ( makes the car look better) so I was thinking about the two above colours.

Candy White- Fifth Gear was test driving a Golf GTI which was Candy white and it looked great but with the white car I will be washing it all the time.

Dynamic Blue- from the brochure I can'nt really tell, anyone got a car in this colour I could see please.

I'd like candy white - its not that hard to keep looking clean - easier than black for sure! :)

unless you're getting an exotic, black is the best colour :D but out of the two colours on offer, i'd probably go for candy white

Another vote for White, as long as you have alloys.

White is much easier to keep clean than most colours , because you cannot really see water marks on it , so a quick wash and a blast down the road to dry it off should suffice in between 'major' detaling sessions. (I have had 2 White cars - both Ford Capris) Dynamic blue isnt too bad as regards cleaning , you can see the dust on it after a few days which you don't see on the white. Even if it is slightly dirty , Dynamic Blue still seems to shine quite a bit if you step back 10 yards or so it will still look relatively clean. It also shines up lovely after a good wax! Heres my Mk1 Fabia in D.B.

Unfortunately I havent got any pics of a White Fabia to post up at the moment , maybe someone will come along later and put their White car up for you.

HTH.

My next door neighbour had a two-tone Ford Orion a good few years ago, white body and grey lower door panels, bumpers etc.

Always came up nice n clean really easily.

White looks the fave at the moment.

Have you not thought about Corrida Red? thats another 'free' colour which is nice and bright , and would shine up well.

Yes but red fades.

Yes but red fades.

Yes , I know what you mean , I had a Lancer GTi that I had to polish and T-Cut every 2 weeks to keep the pink-ness at bay , but then it was almost 8 years old at the time. Will you be keeping the car for that length of time?

goffor white dead easy to keep clean, beleive me had a whote rover doddle

I don't know how badly the reds fade these days compared to the red of oldhowever I would say:

1) Red

2) White

3) Blue

In that order...

So to your question, White.

Another vote for dynamic blue here my old 'un looks great in it. I find white looks nasty in the winter and after a bit of rain in the summer.

I'd say save up the extra

Not had a metallic painted car, but my neighbours' never needed cleaning  My white one gets grubby (twice a year LOL), but not "dirty". If you want a sparkling car, then I guess blue and clean it weekly. Won't Racing Green be the colour fashion after orange though? How long are you intending to keep it?

Mo

DO NOT GO for the compromise.

Just pay the extra for the colour you actually WANT!!

Remember you are not talking about one option here you are talking about the look of the entire car, you'll cringe all the time you drive it.

With a white car, you don't pay extra for the white roof option.

I may keep the car for 5 years, not keen on the blue but I do like the Met Highland green which is in the brochure.

White would be my choice.

Dynamic Blue is only really for "pretty boys" ;) Which is why in some markets it is actually known as pretty boy blue.

:D

Red's don't fade these days (except on Vauxhalls!) so don't let that put you off. :D

Modern red paints don't fade any more than other colours - technology has moved on. I'd go for Candy White; it's going to be the next "must have" colour. Whatever you do, don't go for Black - ghastly colour that only looks good on hearses and looks spotty even if it rains in the next County. Yuk.

Defo get the white, just got voted coolest  colour car to have in a recent poll. If they had done the furby vRS in white i would have got one :)

I'd second that! White looks awesome on a performance car , I still havent seen an Octavia II vRS in White , even though they have been availible in that colour for a while now. I bet they look great tho , especially with tints!
