Which rear ARB should i go for?

Featured Replies

I am going to get myself a rear ARB for my octavia in a few weeks, but which one would you guys advise for my setup?

I have a full vRS suspension set up on my Elegance including front ARB so if anyone with a standard suspension-ed vRS has fitted a rear ARB i would like to hear your views on what to get and what sort of difference it made.

Thanks:thumbup:

My vrs has standard suspenders (for now) and i have the R32 front and neuspeed 28mm adjustable rear (set at mid position), much better turn in and some lift-off oversteer when provoked (on purpose of course)..... Works for me..

Leave the front standard and get a 32mm rear Neuspeed race bar or Shine Racing rear axle insert bar. The Shine bar is really stiff and should only be used with uprated suspension. You will get zero understeer with either if you keep the 19 mm front bar.

Yup , Neuspeed here too , oops I would say that wouldn`t I? Not that I have an Octavia to get one for , but wish I had

I have only got the standard vRS suspension and plan to keep it that way so the Shine will be out i think.

Neuspeed 28mm,i have one fitted along with r32 front arb.The rear arb will transform your car into something completely different. It will elimate the understeer and will pop a smile back on your face.

I will only have the 19mm standard front vRS aRB though, and i am not changing it as it was bad enough changing it from my standard elegance one:( was wondering if the 28mm rear may be too much???

I had standard 19mm bar fitted before i got the 23mm one,it gave a little bit of oversteer at time(especially in the wet) on the middle setting.I was in to minds wich size to go for 23/28mm and choose the 28mm one from peoples comments.

I would go for the neuspeed 28mm arb,as it's one of the best mods you can do to transform the car handling.

Another vote for the Neuspeed 28mm ARB here.

The rest of the suspension on my Octy is still standard. I agree with Jay, it's one of the best handling mods for the money that you can do.

I think the 28mm is the way i will go. I just wanted to be sure it was ok with my standard vRS setup. Is it easy to fit? Also if i need to adjust it how easy is it?

I have some pics which i took, will resize them over the weekend and post them on here. There is also a guide which you can follow(link below). To change the setting,it's just a case of slackening a few nuts and them moving a bolt to another position.I would start in middle position,as you probably will find it will suit you the most.

If I can fit it anyone can.:D It comes with instructions and a list of what tools you'll need for the job.

I didn't take any pictures when I fitted mine, but if I get time I'll take a couple and post 'em up so at least you know what it's meant to look like when it's fitted.
