Re:Air Conditioning Problem (Skoda Octavia)

Featured Replies

Hi,

My Name is James and I live In Ireland. I have a 2002 Skoda Octavia RS and I have a major problem with the air conditioning. I brought it to a specialist last Saturday the 19th of May and off course when he looked at it, it was working perfectly. However an hour after I left him it wasn't working again. I mean to say air was coming out but it was the ordinary air as if Econ was on. Then all of a sudden it was working again on Tuesday the 22nd of May. However the next day it was the same thing air coming out but it wasn't cool air. So I brought it to the same specialist on Wednesday (today) who emptied the gas, put air through it to clear out any air locks and then regassed the air conditioning and of course cold air was coming out and I went away happy. But when I got home, I turned it on to see if it was still working

and of course it wasn't. I was wondering it anybody has encountered the same problem or would have any idea of what is wrong.

Thanks in advance

sorry cant help you.. but hi and welcome to brisky.. check out the irish meets sect m8. karting on the 9th june..

Howya.....you have a PM

This sounds like normal operation to me. The Octavia's climate control system is designed to blow hot and cold alternately to maintain a selected cabin temperature, not to deliver air at a set cabin temp!
