Sounds like it did a good service for 6 years. I have to admit I'm now approaching 6 years into fabia ownership (two different ones sine July 2001) and I've yet to experience anything really bad (that was not my own fault )

Yeah the only bad thing was dropping it in snow last December and wiping out the front and rear bumpers, other than that I'm one of the reasons that Skoda scores highly in all those surveys!
