You can adjust Light Assist with Maxidot, you need VAG-COM or VAS to program it and then only if it's fitted.

I've got the auto-dimming mirror and rain sensing wipers but no light assist or tunnel lights (just the standard switch).

My local dealer advises the auto-dimming mirror used to be a seperate option that come without light assist and it looks like this is how my cars been ordered. Their not yet aware of a retrofitting method but are looking in to it.
