Hi all,

I have a problem that has just started with the front passenger side electric window. When you press the switch to wind the window up as soon as it fully closes it will automatically wind itself all the way back down. When you press the switch to wind it up again it is fine until the next time the window needs to be wound up again. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I have a Y plate 1.9 tdi Comfort.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try resetting the 'one touch' facility first

Let the window get to the top then hold the button in for 3 secs IIRC. Should reset it:thumbup:

Sounds like the anti-pinch has thrown a bit of a wobbler. Assuming there's nothing trapped up at the top of the window seal, resetting the one-touch as described above should do it. If not though, try resetting the electric window controller by whipping out the appropriate fuse (no. 45, IIRC), waiting ten seconds, and putting it back in. You'll need to reset the one-touch after as above.
