Looking forward to getting my Quaife. If only next week comes sooner.

If you ordered a Quaife, hope that you sprang the extra for the bolt set to fit it....

Just a quick update - Done approx 100 miles since the clutch & SMF were fitted.

The first gear judder is definately getting better (or am I getting used to it???).

Pedal feel is lighter - very OEM.

Shifting up thro' the gears & it feels very responsive & eager to rev. (Need to have more self control!! :D Found myself getting carried away a couple of times!!)

I'll have a another 400 miles done this weekend. So, it should be well & truly bedded in.

Another quick update - Just over 1000 miles on the Helix clutch & SMF.

I would say it is more or less fully bedded in now. I've had the chance to "test" the clutch & see if it will handle the full torque of the engine at low & mid range.

All I can say is "Wow"! No messing, no slipping, the torque is transferred to the wheels instantly. If the ASR wasn't switched on, I think my front tyres would be crying out for submission! :D

In traffic, the clutch feels a little heavier, but only very slightly. If you're constantly stopping & starting, it can get a little tiresome dipping the clutch. Nothing that I would worry about though.

The judder has all but gone now, but that clatter on idle is still there!!:D

The only probelm I have now is, do I get the remap tweaked for a little extra torque now that I know the clutch will handle it???!!:D

I can't wait to get my LSD in now. :):D

I know what you mean about the weight of the clutch though. I sometimes get ankle ache in traffic and try to leave it in neutral as often as possible. generally though I believe it's quite oem in feel, as long as you don't try and let the lcutch out too fast, else it will just stall. :D Every garage I take the car to for tyres (etc ;)) they always stall it trying to manouvere her. :D:rofl:

do you have any noise when changing down to 2nd at reasonably high revs with the helix as mine sometimes does. and ive stalled it about 300 times. lol

yes I do get a little short whine when changing down the last two gears, just as I put in the clutch, really minor.

Can't say that it stalls at all...

HTH
