Hi Guys, hope somebody can advise on my Felicia Fun 1.6 petrol. The engine will not idle and revs drop down to 250 or 0. Cuts out when you stop at junctions (foor on brake pedal). A new thermostat was fitted six weeks ago and engine had improved until yesterday. tried a decoke aerosol for dirty injectors but not made any difference:) .

it's fairly easy if you have the right tools..

just remove the plastic cover from the top of the engine, the you can see it on top of the engine at the top... you will need to take off a few hoses etc...

iirc the body itself is held on by 4x 8mm spline sockets(unless sombody else can remember what they are:O)

you will need to get the throttle body reset back to it's basic settings aftewards too, somobdy with diagnostics/vag-com may be able to do this for you... to be honest it may be just that which is causing the idling problems anyway

fairly sound advice, except the felicia doesn't have a idle speed control valve... it has a throttle valve which is stepper motor controlled to regulate the idle speed
