"some estimates say that it cost
It may have cost
"... and some seed fell on stony ground." It was the logo I was having a go at, not the advert.

... and some seed fell on stony ground indeed.

I was considering the different reactions when comparing the effectiveness of the two.

Both spent about 500k, both had huge 3rd party response.

One was good, one was bad.

I heard that SUK were going to cut up the 'cake' and donate it to local hospital/schools BUT after the time under studio lights etc, it was decided that it was 'not fit to eat'.

Still; GREAT AD - I haven't tried the car yet but I hope it lives up to expectations.

They still used it for compost - so at least it was environmentally friendly disposal.

Once filming was finished Skoda had planned to cut the cake car up and distribute it to local charities, schools and hospitals. Unfortunately, however, as the car had been under hot studio lights for several days, it would have posed a health and safety risk if eaten.

Most of the car was composted and will be used by residents of Clapton, East London, to fertilise their gardens and allotments.
